Water Heaters

Tank water heaters installed by TennCo. Plumbing carry a five year warranty through our supplier with no questions asked. We register every tank when we pick it up, so there is nothing for you to file. TennCo. provides a one year labor warranty on the installation. If elements fail within that first year, we replace them at no charge. After one year, parts and labor are no longer warrantied and the work becomes a standard repair or maintenance service.

If the tank fails within five years, we provide a new water heater of the same or a comparable model and charge labor at our standard rate. We do not extend free replacement labor across the full five years because we cannot guarantee the water conditions or the operating conditions the heater runs under.

Tankless water heaters are covered by the manufacturer rather than our supplier. Registration with the manufacturer is the homeowner's responsibility, and coverage depends on it.

Water Lines and Drain Lines

Repairs made within an existing system are warrantied for one year. That covers the repair itself, not the remaining pipe in the system. Replacing a section of an existing line is also warrantied for one year. Full water line and drain line repipes are warrantied for five years.

Natural and LP Gas

Gas distribution system installation is warrantied for two years. We run black iron pipe, and every line we install is pressure tested before it is put into service.

Sump Pumps and Sewage Ejectors

Installation and labor are warrantied for one year. The pump itself is covered for whatever term the manufacturer provides. If the unit fails after the first year but within the manufacturer's term, the replacement pump is covered by the manufacturer and labor is charged at our standard rate.

Service Call Repairs

Faucets, toilets, shutoff valves, supply lines, and other repairs performed on a service call are warrantied for one year. One year is our standard term on any work not given a longer period above.

Outdoor Plumbing

Hose bibs and yard hydrants are warrantied for one year. That coverage does not apply when the failure is caused by a hose left connected in freezing temperatures.

Drain Cleaning and Clogs

TennCo. does not warranty drain cleaning for any length of time. A clog forms from what goes into the line, and we cannot guarantee that the behavior which caused it will stop. Where roots are the cause, there is no way to determine how long they will take to grow back.

Clog removal in a new drain system is also not warrantied. The system is run properly at installation, and a clog that develops afterward is the homeowner's responsibility.

Customer Supplied Fixtures

TennCo. does not warranty fixtures supplied by the customer.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty covers the repair or installation itself. It does not cover damage that results from a failure, including flooring, drywall, cabinetry, or contents.

Freeze damage is not covered in any category. Coverage on any portion of our work ends if another party works on it after we do.

When Coverage Begins

Coverage begins on the date the installation is complete.

Making a Claim

Call TennCo. Plumbing at 731 441 7939. We confirm the install date and whether it falls within the warranty period, then schedule the visit. There is no trip charge on a covered warranty visit. If the problem turns out not to be covered, the visit becomes a standard service call at our normal rate.

Transfer of Coverage

Water line and drain line repipe warranties transfer to a new owner if the home is sold. Coverage in all other categories stays with the original customer.
